A very warm welcome to any new readers, and to visitors and newcomers to St Michael’s. A VERY BIG ‘THANK YOU’ to everyone who contributed to our Summer Fete, which raised a fantastic £876. Just as important, it was a hugely enjoyable day which drew in many folk from our Parish and beyond.

GIFT AID: We still need ALL those who give regularly by Standing Order or through the envelope scheme to complete a new Gift Aid form (available at Back of Church) and pop it into the Box provided. Very few of you have submitted your forms yet.

Our Treasurer Wendy has just submitted a Gift Aid claim to HMRC for a payment to us of £6,000 – It is money that HMRC offers to us free if only YOU sign up….So it is well worth doing if you are able to.

If you are a taxpayer and want to allow us to reclaim this tax from your donations – do have a chat with me. Fr John.

EVENTS FOR US TO PARTICIPATE IN:

Sunday Afternoon 27th July – FiF BBQ, Solemn Evensong and Benediction, Harbledown. Details at Back of Church, and a sign-up list so we can let them know how many to cater for.

Saturday 16th August – Richborough Family Assumptiontide Festival, Portsmouth – Solemn Mass at 12 noon, picnic lunch, and Benediction. An opportunity to meet up once again with Bishop Luke and all our friends in the Richborough family. Details at Back of Church.

Saturday 30th August – The Society Pilgrimage to Aylesford: Mass at 11am, Preacher Fr Ben Shrine Administrator, Walsingham; activities for children organised by the Children’s Team from Walsingham, and Rosary Walk. This is very close by, so hopefully a good number of us will be going to this.

Walsingham 2026: 26th – 29th May. We have 12 places booked, we can book more if we need more !!

FOR OUR PRAYERS:

We pray for those in need, and especially Paul Jones, Glynis Reynolds, Yvonne Young, Jessica O’Sullivan, Lindsay Wheeler, Martyn Nash, Fran, Ellie Tomlinson, David Green and Norman Farrington.

We pray for the recently departed. We remember those who have faithfully served God in this Church in previous generations, and we pray for those whose year’s mind occurs this week: Arthur Rickerby, Renee Page, Lily Levick, Pamela Rose Mason, Jeanette Ardley.
