EASTER LILIES IN MEMORY OF A LOVED ONE
If you would like to sponsor a Lily in church this Easter in memory of a departed loved one, please add your name to the list at the Back of Church as soon as possible and let Margaret Gatehouse (or a Churchwarden) have your £5.
HOLY WEEK: Next Sunday is Palm Sunday: Procession and Sung Mass at 10.30am. The Chrism Mass is at noon in Rochester Cathedral on Tuesday 31st March. This is an opportunity to gather together with our friends, both clergy and laity, from all the Society Parishes across Rochester and Canterbury dioceses, to unite together in our faithful witness as Catholic Christians in Holy Week, and to show our support for our Bishop, +Luke. Do please attend if you can.
Maundy Thursday: There are lists at Back of Church for you to sign up for the Washing of Feet at the Mass of the Last Supper at 7.30pm, and for The Watch until Midnight.
FOR OUR PRAYERS: We pray for an end to death and destruction in the Middle East and other places of conflict. In our church life, for the faithful keeping of Holy Week and Easter by all of us at St Michael’s Church Maidstone.
We pray for those in need, for Glynis Reynolds, Yvonne Young, Lindsay Wheeler, Martyn Nash, David Green, Norman Farrington, Phil and Marion, Jacqui Barlow, Joe, Keira, Freya, Isaac, Lexie Nicholson, Sarah, and Janet.
We pray for the recently departed. We remember those who have faithfully served God in this Church in previous generations, and we pray for those whose year’s mind occurs this week: Fred Harte (Priest), Bert Osborne, Clementina Brown, Joy Littlewood, Peter Milton, Janet Hilda Carden.
