 FLOWER FESTIVAL: 11th - Sunday 13th  Church open with displays about the history and significance of the Church  ORGAN MUSIC & RECITALS: Saturday 11am & 3pm; Sunday 3pm  Saturday 12th at 3.45pm - A Talk by Tom Middleton, National Director of FiF, on Anglo-Catholicism in the CofE today, followed by discussion over Tea/Coffee/Cake.

Ride & Stride in aid of Friends of Kent Churches also takes place on Saturday 12th September. Catherine Garland is our parish organiser, and is also looking for sponsorship as she cycles and walks around local churches – Please support Catherine and sign her sponsorship form at the Back of Church. Money raised is split 50:50 between our church and the Friends of Kent Churches. The Friends offer grants towards maintenance and repair of Kent churches, and the PCC will be approaching them for a grant towards our new heating system – so it will be good if once again we are seen to be supporting the Friends on Ride & Stride day.

Forthcoming Events: Our 150th Anniversary Year continues with more musical events: Saturday 19th September – 3pm - concert by local musicians Malcolm Coates and the Fabulous Fants Recorder group Saturday 26th September – 7pm - Medway Singers Autumn Concert with Keelan Carew, pianist and Radio 3 broadcaster Saturday 17th October – 7pm – Concert by Kent Chamber Choir

FOR OUR PRAYERS:

We pray for our Flower Festival, and for all who will visit the church over the Festival Weekend, that they may see a glimpse of the love of God in this sacred place; in the Richborough Cycle of Prayer we pray this week for Society Parishes in the diocese of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich and Norwich, for their Priests and people. We pray for Margaret and Sue as they coordinate the Flower Festival, and for our Churchwardens Zoe and Jonathan and our Treasurer Wendy at this busy time in our celebration year.

We pray for those in need, especially Glynis Reynolds, Yvonne Young, Lindsay Wheeler, David Green, Norman Farrington, Phil and Marion, Joe, Keira, Freya, Isaac, Lexie Nicholson, Sarah, Janet, Ralph Austin, Isobel and Fay, Ruby Corquaye, Jessica and Jacqui Barlow.

We pray for the recently departed. We remember those who have faithfully served God in this place in previous generations, and for those whose year’s mind occurs this week: Edna Francis, HM Queen Elizabeth II, John Roden, Horace Copperwheat.
