Do please join us after Mass for Tea, Coffee and Cake in the Vestry Hall !!

Thank you to all who supported the concert by the Medway Singers and pianist Keelan Carew. It was hugely enjoyable and entertaining, a real celebration of the joy of music. Ticket sales and refreshments brought in £459 which, after deducting costs and Keelan’s fee, gives a contribution of £189 to church funds.

Saturday 17th October: October Devotions with Bishop Luke, Canterbury Cathedral – Mass at 12 noon, followed by Devotions and Benediction at 2.30pm. See the poster in the church porch. All welcome !! Do try and support this event, held specially in our diocese for Catholic Parishes of The Society.

Also Saturday 17th October: Concert by Kent Chamber Choir “Old Favourites and New Classics”, directed by Daniel Gethin. In church at 7pm. Tickets £15 on the door.

Available at the back of church is a new Booklet “A Foundation of Faith”, written by Eleanor Rele, edited by Mike Trout and beautifully published by Jonathan Garland. It is a terrific read that brings us close to the lives and faith of those who brought St Michael’s into being. Excellent value at £2 - full colour booklet.

FOR OUR PRAYERS:

We pray for a just distribution of the earth’s resources – gifts from God; and for the care and protection of our natural world. In the Richborough Cycle of Prayer we pray this week for Society Parishes in the diocese of Chelmsford and St Edmundsbury & Ipswich, for their Priests and people.

We pray for those in need, especially Glynis Reynolds, Yvonne Young, Lindsay Wheeler, David Green, Norman Farrington, Phil and Marion, Joe, Keira, Freya, Isaac, Lexie Nicholson, Sarah, Janet, Ralph Austin, Isobel and Fay.

We pray for the recently departed. We remember those who have faithfully served God in this place in previous generations, and for those whose year’s mind occurs this week: Gordon Harris, Lilian Fairnington, Ellen Arnold, John Gibbons, Charles Relle, Joan Cheese, Bill Tuppen, Jim Farnan, Vivian Sheridan, Ivy Winifred Comber, Dorothy Wickenden, William Ure, Mildred Milton.
